About how old is Hannibal in the Silence of the Lambs? In the movie he was around 50 - 60, i think, but the book does have some differences. And in the book he didnt seem to be past middle age. Anyone out there know or have a good guess?

I don’t think it said … I think he just meant to be in middle age.
I got the feeling he was in his 40s.
According to Hannibal Rising, Lecter was 8 in 1941 when ***** captured him and his sister. While Silence of the Lambs is not explicit in its dates, it can be seen as current to its publishing date of 1988 (judging by the technology that is used). Thus he is approximately in his 50s.
