How true is the “Fourth Kind”?

I watched Discovery’s the Alaskan Experiment and three times on the show people imagined things. One member dreamed of an old lady standing at the foot of his bed, another was he dreamed a cat was attacking him and another member thought they heard singing while hiking, but there was no one around.
So can the people portrayed in the film be suffering the same thing?
i don’t believe in fairy tales.
