I just watched a Japanese trailer for the Watchmen movie and I think it shows The Comedian killing JFK?

Part of the trailer shows JFK getting shot in Dallas and his wife jumping out of the back of the car. Then it shows The Comedian ducking behind a fence wearing a suit and holding a sniper rifle. If you have seen this or have read the comic that the movie is based on, please elaborate.

  1. I’m assuming you haven’t read the novel? Well, it’s implied that the Comedian shot JFK in the book but never actually shown or stated. I don’t have the book with me but if I recall correctly, the Comedian jokes that he was in Dallas at the time of the assassination in such a way that it hints that he was the shooter. He also says something about being involved in Watergate. The Comedian is a government operative and a ruthless, sociopathic one at that.

I’m guessing that, in the movie, the things the Comedian joked about doing will actually be revealed as the truth.
