the Movie Duplicity is filming tom on my block! i want to know?
I live in a condo in staten island.
okay so the residents here have received notices abouta week ago that the movie duplicty will be filming on the parking lots and stuff tom. wedesday. =]
So there’s like notices on trees around the building telling ppl not to park cars and w/e…
im SUPER EXCITED..julia roberts is in this MOVIE!! =]
anyway.. my question is.. are we(outsiders) allowed to take pictures and even film the event? This is the first time that i will be encountering something like this and I wanted to make sure im not breking laws or anything like that by taking pictures of the set and scenes and stuff wi the my camcorder/camera,,,

how can you be an extra in a movie??? will they be filming for the whole day??
I live in the same building (#80). My father has done extra work on movies an tells me that the area will be very controlled. Only one exit (probably the back) will be allowed
for residents and the crew might prohibit movement.
He says they will probably start around 8am and continue well past 8pm. I understand it will be shot on the 2nd floor with some lobby and outside shots. The scene will probably only last a few minutes but it will take all day.
Extras are almost never picked “on the spot” so don’t even try.
Not only is nearly every parking spot filled up with orange cones, but the lobby floor is already covered in plastic to protect it from the equipment.
P.S. I hope they leave the ash tray/garbage cans. Funny how they only put them back for visitors.
