What do you think about the new star trek movie?

It looks like a great movie but it doesn’t seem like star trek. It doesn’t seem to portray the kind hearted good natured sensibility of the past star trek cast members. It seems that they have the same approach on star trek like the new Batman’s. That dark realistic sinister side. Which is fine for batman but not star trek. It might just be me and Im sure it will be a great movie but I cant help but to think there not portraying star treks true essence, its true roots if you will. Are there any other Trekkie’s that feel the same way?
