What is the real story of the haunting in Connecticut?

It was featured on the Discovery show A Haunting (also based on their experiences) but the names were changed I believe. I just went to find what little background info there was on the actual family on wiki and couldn’t so maybe they’re protecting their privacy. Or maybe I just can’t find it.

It is still a dramatization, but I found it rather interesting when I had nothing to do one day. Got me hooked on the show as well.
What was aired on the discovery channel didn’t go into great detail about it…there’s a book about it called In a Dark Place that tells what happened..
